Rotary Joint for Decoking Systems

Rotary Joint for Decoking Systems

The Saptora Rotary Joint is robustly engineered to handle the suspended loads encountered in decoking operations. It performs two primary functions:

  1. Water Transfer: Directs high-pressure water from the decoking hose into the rotating drill stem while maintaining a leak-proof seal.

  2. Rotational Drive: Enables rotation of the drill stem and cutting tool assembly via a mounted driver, ensuring smooth and controlled cutting operations.

Features & Benefits

  • Flange sizes: 125 mm (5 in) 250 PN / 400 PN with compact connections matching the drill stem

  • Drive options: Air piston, electric-over-air, hydraulic, or electric motor with VFD

  • Dual-seal design: Standard dual seal provides three-year design life, with a secondary seal for six additional months of maintenance planning

  • Corrosion-resistant construction: Integrally cast, single-piece gooseneck and support cage eliminates welds

Upgrade Options for Legacy Rotary Joints:

  • Convert packing to dual seal

  • Change vertical air motor to horizontal motor with right-angle gear

  • Upgrade Unibolt coupling to direct-connect RTJ flange with drill stem

  • Convert to integral cast single-piece gooseneck and support cage

  • Add rotary joint stiffeners to the bonnet

  • Upgrade to heavy-duty bearings for extended service life
