The Saptora Crosshead and Free Fall Arrestor system ensures safe, stable operation of the rotary joint, drill stem, and cutting tool assembly within the coke drum. It provides both guidance and protection for personnel and equipment in the event of a wire rope failure.

The Crosshead is engineered to absorb torque loads generated during cutting operations, maintaining precise tool alignment. The Free Fall Arrestor enhances safety by automatically preventing free fall of the cutting assembly if suspension failure occurs—without the need for any electrical or pneumatic connections.

Additionally, standard latching mechanisms allow the Crosshead to be securely stowed when not in use, relieving tension on the winch and cable for safer maintenance and storage.
